Wind Tex Energy, LP is a privately held independent wind power development company located in Dallas, Texas, founded in 2002 by Steven K. DeWolf.

Wind Tex specializes in U.S. domestic wind powered generating projects. Wind Tex has extensive experience in all aspects and phases of project development including siting, permitting, power sales agreements, wind measurement, contract negotiations, tax abatements, arranging electric grid interconnections and transmission studies as well as environmental and FAA work.

Wind Tex has developed four Texas Projects which are currently in operation. Together they comprise between 5% and 10% of the total Texas wind energy today. These projects include: Camp Springs I & II (250.5 MW), Stanton (120 MW), Turkey Track (169.5 MW) and Snyder (63 MW).
